Fin Taylor Q&A – Edinburgh Fringe 2016

Edinburgh, the Fringe, why bother?

Good to see the people asking these questions becoming as apathetic as the comedians who have to answer them.

What have been the nuggets of inspiration behind your show this year?

The News.

Stand-out Fringe moment to date?

Climbing Arthur’s Seat in Double Denim during a thunderstorm.

When you wished a hole had opened up in the ground and swallowed you up?

When a group of 13 Air Traffic Controllers came to my show last year. Unplayable.

Your unsung heroes in the industry at current?

The people that do these questionnaires. What is this a stepping stone for? Where are they trying to get to? Is this journalism? It doesn’t feel like it.

Three shows you must see this Fringe?

Colin Hoult, Sean Mcloughlin, Mat Ewins.

The one person you’d love to see your show and why?

Angela Eagle. She seems like she loves a laugh.

The reason why one should come and see your show?

“If you want to see less racism in society the first thing you have to do is let white people know how it feels to be on the receiving end of it”.

So something for everyone!

The one thing in Edinburgh you must do?

The jacket potato shop.
