Edinburgh, the Fringe, why bother?
Why bother with the Edinburgh fringe? Because I am a sick masochist, obviously! And because it is an addictive thrill ride. The Edinburgh fringe is like the Performer Olympics – who doesn’t want to be at the Olympics?
What have been the nuggets of inspiration behind your show this year?
The dead rat that I found in my mailbox was probably the biggest, cutest, cuddliest nugget of inspiration for my show this year.
Stand-out Fringe moment to date?
My favorite fringe moment to date was when I was over doing my first show Hi, Hitler at the Gilded Balloon. I was sitting in a cafe on Nicholson Street and suddenly a Hassidic Jew sat down next to me. We looked at each other and I saw that he had the Gilded Balloon venue pass around his neck. This was our dialogue:
Me: “Are you doing a show at the Gilded Balloon?”
Him: “Yes, are you?”
Me: “Yes, mine;s called Hi, Hitler and yours?”
Him: “Circumsize Me!”
Then we both laughed and hugged.
When you wished a hole had opened up in the ground and swallowed you up?
Every day when it rains in Edinburgh in August I wish a hole would open up swallow me up. And then there was that one time a lady in the audience jumped out of her seat and ran out of the show because she had pooped in her pants.

Michelle Wolf, Ed Night, Ruaraidh Murray, Lolly Adefope

The reason why one should come and see your show?
There are so many reasons why one should see my show where do I start? The show makes you sexier, younger, smarter, it increases penis size, decreases cellulite and does your taxes for you. And that is guaranteed.
The one thing in Edinburgh you must do?
Go to Poundland and ask how much things are.
Ah sorry, you’re dead. But least you can have that dinner party you’ve always wanted. Who are you inviting?
Robin Williams, Mia Wallace, William Shatner, Karl Lagerfeld, Lucille Ball and Alf.
