The joke that you loved but no one else did?
We had a joke about a dictator who ordered a ham & pineapple pizza with extra pineapple, only to then tell tell them to go easy on the pineapple. Needless to say it never made it into a show, but I still think it’s the best thing we’ve ever written.
The joke that worked but you are not so proud that it had?
We have a bit in our chocolate factory show where Willy Wonka explains to Charlie that his umpa-lumpa’s are in fact just child slaves. This shouldn’t really go down well with the audience but it nearly always does.
The comedians that made you want to be a comedian?
I was personally very influenced by the likes of Jim Carey, Rik Mayall and Rowan Atkinson when I was growing up. Collectively we’re all big fans of people like Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse, Steve Coogan and Matt Berry.
The last thing that made you cry with laughter?
I remember crying with laughter at Daphne’s first show when we caught at Latitude last year, and any time we’ve gone to see John Kearns, he’s swiftly become one of our favourite comedians on the circuit. More generally speaking we’re all hugely into Rick & Morty, I’m currently re-watching it for the fourth time.
