Edinburgh, the Fringe, why bother?
Because as long as arseholes will buy tickets, arseholes will write shows.
What have been the nuggets of inspiration behind your show this year?
My sheer desperation to be a superstar.
Stand-out Fringe moment to date?
Batting a DVD of a workout video down Cowgate using a tennis racquet at about 3 am. Both items had just been won in a quiz so it seemed appropriate.
When you wished a hole had opened up in the ground and swallowed you up?
Any time someone doing their first Fringe asked if I wanted to swap a flyer. Except that I wished the hole would swallow them and leave me alone.
Your unsung heroes in the industry at current?
Three shows you must see this Fringe?
Comedians Cinema Club, Garrett Millerick and The Noise Next Door
The one person you’d love to see your show and why?
Zoe Lyons. I love her, her comedy and her attitude towards a career in this industry.
The reason why one should come and see your show?
It’s honest and funny.
The one thing in Edinburgh you must do?
Maxi Breakfast at City Restaurant.
Ah sorry, you’re dead. But least you can have that dinner party you’ve always wanted. Who are you inviting?
Someone who likes washing up.
Laura Lexx, Tyrannosaurus Lexx, Mash House, 2.20pm
