Paul F. Taylor is one of the most exciting and original stand-up acts on the British comedy scene. He is a past winner of the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Awards 2013. Since winning this award, he has become one of our most exciting, distinctive stand-up performers.
The award-winning Paul F. Taylor has a unique brand of humor that combines quirky, quirky one-liners, surreal observation flights of fantasy and fantastic effects. Nominated for the Naty New Act of the Year 2013 by GQ Magazine Comedian of the Week, Paul’s persona is that of a lost and confused fool sitting around with his insane ideas. Strange Paul is structured to be a hilarious hour, requiring the gaze of a wannabe surrealist.
In 2010, Odd Paul toured to support Lucy Porter on her late show Fools Gold. Fabulous Australian comedian Felicity Ward has spent much of the past few years in the UK working on her craft in London clubs. Her brand new show is all about her quirky ego.
The Short has wowed audiences across the country after playing Dave Leicester’s Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It is the resident comedy barter shop of Cabarera and is a monthly comedy evening with character comedian Rebecca Shorrock as co-host. Most famous is The Short, a mysterious sketch show with comedy nonsense.
Short and Curly is a comedy duo consisting of Rebecca Shorrocks and Paul F. Taylor, and they show a joy. The main theme of her show is that Paul will soon be 40 and wants to stay young. Curly and Taylor do just that by delving into Curly’s memories of Short and Rebecca, portrayed in a series of sketches.
This witty duo crank up an amusing hour with amusing one-liners, slapstick silliness and interaction with the audience. Curly and Shorrocks take us on a journey through Curly’s life and her various hero memories.
Its guides are engaging storytellers like Sue Ramsey, who is ebullient and creative. We started the show by pretending to take the audience hostage with blue plastic guns. We did the first sketch group “Joke Thief” in 2013. It was a fun evening and no one had any idea how it would end, but it was a huge success.
The mission of the 25th Street Theatre Centre, Inc. is to promote and present artistically motivated professional theatre. According to Wikipedia, there were 55,000 performances in three and a half thousand shows during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018. One of the most attractive parts of the Fringe is its open and inclusive nature, accentuated by the dazzling spread of free shows – from rising stars to the big names – from the surreal to the brilliant.

As a resident of New York City, I have never attended this festival, but I get a regular dose at home. My preference is to experience outstanding, small, idiosyncratic pieces. It’s not just the fact that it takes about four and a half hours to get from London to Edinburgh.
The city is awash with an eclectic mix of artists, craftsmen, performers, and voyeurs flocking to soak up their creative endeavors. The festival is unique in that it is the sheer amount of outstanding talent trying out new things in the same place for very little money (tickets are available at special discounts on PS7). This has earned the festival a reputation for being unconventional and innovative, and many of the more than 20,000 events do not shy away from controversial topics and experimental methods.
This energy transforms the city into a worldwide center of enlightened entertainment. Suitable for fancy dress parties, cosplay, theatre and shows, whether bachelor party, birthday party or pride event.

Don’t get me wrong – I love seeing comedy at Edinburgh Festival but it’s not the only thing to visit. One of my favourite shows I’ve ever seen was the stage version of Trainspotting Live. I watched it because it’s set in a dingy, dark place near Edinburgh University, with a crashing atmosphere.
The 10th annual KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival runs from September 14-25, 2021. It is too early to say what the festival will look like at this stage. The level of commitment required for such an undertaking would not have been possible without the enthusiasm of the people of Edinburgh, combined with the long-standing support of our audience, our sponsors, supporters and the goodwill of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and our friends, the Angels.
