Five To See from Scotland – Edinburgh Fringe 2016

We asked writer and comedian Thomas Black from Edinburgh what Scottish based acts you should check out at this year’s Fringe.

Daisy Earl: Scottish Comedian of the Year 2015

Since winning Scottish Comedian of the year, Daisy has added to her ever growing list of accolades by winning the Chortle Best Newcomer award. Very relatable and self-deprecating, Daisy is one of the best acts on the Scottish circuit today.

Scottish Comedy Festival @ The Beehive Inn (Venue 178) 18.50

Gary Little: A Little Bit of Personal

Equal parts charming and terrifying, Gary brings more of his great stories to this year’s Fringe. This new show promises tales of paranoia and prison pen pals and will be sure to be big on laughs.

The Stand 3 & 4(Venue 12) 19.05

Vladimir McTavish: Scotland in Sixty Minutes

One of my favourite Scottish acts brings us a show all about Scotland. Vlad recounts his 3 month tour of cities and towns around Scotland from Gretna to Thurso, not to be missed!

The Stand 5&6(Venue 319) 19:30

Mark Nelson: Smiley Face

Another award winner, Mark is often provocative and always hilarious. In Smiley Face Mark will be exploring happiness in the modern world and as he has already told Short Com, his hatred of emoticons!

Darren Connell: Trolleywood
